Masan inaugurated the VND 1,600 billion brewery plant in Hau Giang

Today, Masan Consumer Holdings (“Masan”), a subsidiary specialized in food and beverage trade under Masan JSC (MSN) opened a modern production system - equipped brewery plant in Hau Giang province.

Masan Brewery HG covers an area of 14,6 ha in Southern Hau river Industrial Park, Chau Thanh district, Hau Giang province. The plant’s current design capacity is 100 million liters per year and expected to increase to 150 million liters per year in the future. The plant is equipped with the most modern machinery and the automatic technology from the most prestigious international suppliers to ensure the constant quality, food safety and scrumptious taste.

The inauguration of this plant helps Masan increase its capacity from 50 million liters per year to over 200 million liters per year, meeting the demand of this rapidly developing business field. Masan began its brewery trade in September 2014 and obtained the strong growth rate by the White Tiger beer. The current brewery plant has been forced to work at the maximum capacity for over a half of the last year. This new plant will satisfy the increasing demand on White Tiger beer. The 2016 turnover is expected to be as three times as that of 2015. Currently, the major market of White Tiger beer is the Southwest provinces, which is Masan’s trial market for this brand; and the brand rapidly spreads to the Southeast area after Masan introduced it to this market in August 2015.

The over VND 1,600 billion project will offer an opportunity for development to both Masan and Hau Giang province, including the people in the surrounding communities. In the next 10 years, when Masan’s brewery plant work at the maximum capacity, it will contribute about VND 14,000 billion to Hau Giang province’s State budget, which includes the corporate income tax, excise tax and personal income tax.
