Ba Ria Vung Tau: Make plans to make highways connecting with TP. HCM - Long Thanh - Dau Giay

On May 15, 2019, the leaders of the People's Committees and departments of the two provinces of Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Dong Nai have officially had a meeting to discuss the investment plan for construction of the expressway from Ho Chi Minh City. Bien Hoa to TP. Vung Tau.

Information from the working session, Ba Ria - Vung Tau will be the province to invest from the high-speed intersection TP. HCM - Long Thanh - Dau Giay to Highway 55 and branch to Cai Mep - Thi Vai Port, the route length is 51km. 16.8km from TP. Bien Hoa to TP. Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay will be invested by Dong Nai province.

At the meeting, leaders of the two provinces agreed to combine both sections into one project according to two options. One is a full-line investment from TP. Bien Hoa goes to National Highway 55, which clarifies the responsibilities of each locality in the project, or invests in 2 phases, phase 1 from the city expressway. HCM - Long Thanh - Dau Giay to Highway 55 and Phase 2 from Ho Chi Minh City. Bien Hoa arrived at the TP. HCM - Long Thanh - Dau Giay.

Accordingly, the section from the expressway TP. Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay to Highway 55 with a total length of nearly 51km, in which the territory of Dong Nai province is more than 17km and in the area of ​​Ba Ria - Vung Tau nearly 25km and 8.8km of connecting road from high road speed to Cai Mep - Thi Vai Port. The total investment for this expressway is estimated at VND 8,833 billion, of which the clearance cost is more than VND 2,190 billion. The project is proposed to invest in BOT form and is expected to be implemented by the end of 2025.

At the end of the meeting, leaders of People's Committees of 2 provinces assigned the Department of Transport to coordinate with relevant agencies to review and agree on investment plans to submit to the Ministry of Transport and Transport and the Government for approval.
